Florida Council is one of
twenty-two regional councils within the Institute of Management
Accountants. The council’s purpose is to:
- Further the
objectives of the IMA and its members
- Promote and facilitate
cooperation and communication between chapters
- Provide a means to pool
resources to assist chapters with attaining their objectives
Each council consists of:
- Board of
Directors, based upon election
- IMA Chapter
representative(s), selected by the Chapter
- Any/All IMA members wishing
to attend
All council members have the opportunity for
global service. The council elects one of its members to represent the
Council on the IMA Global board of directors. In addition, IMA Members
of the council may serve on IMA Global committees.
Florida Council meetings are held in September, January and April in various
locations based upon which chapter sponsors the meeting. The April meeting includes the chapter leadership workshop. Regional
meetings provide opportunities for continuing education, networking, fellowship
and LOTS OF FUN! The event concludes
with a council business meeting.
